4.6 is a great motor too.
you should drain, and fill your oil when your engine is hot too.
there is a big diffrence with synthetic oils. i would rather synthetic then regular oil simpaly becuase i would not want to have to do a majour repair, or replace on my engine.
whats up with him smacking his lips
man dude do you realize that you couldnt be a mechanic due to the easily recognizable fact that you cant keep the oil in the fill hole.

marketing had convinced you and many others to think synthetic is better.
Mobil 1 is the only choice! I’ve got 201690 thats right over 2 hundred thousand on a 4.6l v8 mustang and all I’ve EVER used is 5w30 full synthetic mobil 1. no leaks.
The oil is supposed to be only SM grade!
I hate your videos, you are wrong so many times.
Can i fill new oil into old one?
depends which brand you buy. If you use quality brands like ELF, TOTAL, MOBIL or FUCHS, mineral would be fine no matter what car you have, new or old.
I use ELF mineral and get great fuel economy even performance.
hes doing someone elses car thats why he is doing what they wanted
lol crack ^ an ur right
Yea I woundn’t run synthetic in that piece. Synthetic is so much better than conventional. Have you been living under a rock?
So far I’m enjoying what I’m doing. Overhauling this engine seems to be labor intensive but fun. I’m interested in learning more about this subject since I’m seeming to enjoy it. I hope then that I can learn how to rebuild transmissions and stuff. From there, I’d like to learn more about general automotive mechanics. I might enjoy being a mechanic, and it pays pretty well from what I understand.
Ok, I see it did post, so time to move on. I’m looking for videos on the net to show a major overhaul from start to finish so I can study ahead for the next things I’m going to be doing and be comfortable with it when I do it in real life on this engine I’m helping overhaul. Could you possibly post videos on this process?
I don’t know if the last comment took or not. It hasn’t posted, so sorry if it eventually posts and I repeat. I’m taking a small engine repair course for the second time, as the first time the subject was entirely new to me and I didn’t get everything I was taught. This second time, the teacher has a pickup motor he’s overhauling, and he’s allowing me to help with this so I can learn it. We just replaced the main bearings and secured the crankshaft to the block with the main bearing caps.
I’m a computer/network tech by trade, but due to living in a small town, I cannot get a job in that field. I’m currently taking a small engine repair course for the second time, as the first time I took it, it was a new subject that I knew nothing about and I didn’t get everything. My teacher has a pickup engine that he’s letting me overhaul. Of course, he’s standing over me and teaching me as I go, but I was interested in finding a video of this on the internet.
