Change your engine oil regularly.
Change the oil every 3000 miles.
Check all fluids regularly.
Check all hoses and belts for cracking.
Use quality fuels.
Change the air filter every 10,000 miles or once a year.
Make it regular to change your underhood hoses, wires, spark plugs, distributer, ect. at the regular intervals determined for the vehicle. If you’re a DIY, then buy a Haynes manual for your car. They have maintenance intervals in them. Otherwise, trust your repair shop.
When replacing spark plugs:
Do them one at a time to avoid mixing up the wires. When replacing spark plugs check the gap even on “pre gapped” plugs. A light coat of anti seize compound on the threads and a schemer of silicone grease on the boot will make plug removal easier next time around. Always start threading a plug by hand to avoid cross threading.
1) Keep up with your oil change recommended interval
2) Keep your air filter changed regularly
3) Keep your tires inflated
4) Keep your vehicle in alignment
5) Keep up on your transmission fluid service
6) Don’t drive hard, drive sensibly
Change your fuel filter every 20-25000 miles. It will add to the lifespan of your fuel pump, give you noticeably better power performance and aid your fuel economy. Most shops never mention it to you because it can be a nasty job to change and they do not make much profit on doing it!!!!
always read the vehicle maintenance guide but things to remember is keep checking the oil and antifreeze, keep tires aired up and a clean air filter
