Alonso didn’t left Mclaren because of his pride, he left to preserve his dignity and to avoid being disdained every year by his own team to make their golden boy win. What happened between Alonso and Mclaren has happened also with other drivers, Prost, Montoya, Kovalainen, and now Button. But Alonso is the only one who has had the balls to confront openly Mclaren and try to win by his own against everyone.

Exactly, Alonso and Lewis were easily the strongest partnership in F1 since Prost and Senna. They had the potential to dominate F1 for years to come, but Alonso couldn’t accept that a rookie was faster. Hopefully we’ll get Kimi back next year and McLaren will dominate.
If there wasn’t a fight inside Mclaren they propably crashed Ferrari in constructors chmpionship.
