I have a 2002 Mercedes Benz C240. I bought it used in 2006 with no manual. There are three buttons on the rear view mirror which i assume are garage door openers. How can I program this to work with my Chamberlain Liftmaster?
1. Press and hold the two outside buttons on the built-in car opener- this will clear the car system out so its back at factory setting.
2. Press and hold the button on the built-in car system that you want to use and at the same time, press and hold a button on a working handheld remote at the same time. The light on the car should begin to blink fast then turn off. *Make sure you hold both the car button and the handheld remote until the light turns off.
3. Press and release your unit’s “learn” or “smart” button on the operator on the ceiling. (It will either be under the operator’s light cover or on the back side, facing away from the door.)
4. Go back out to the car within 30 seconds and press and release the car button you want to use 3 times SLOWLY. Each time you press it, hold it in for 3 seconds and let it go. On the 3rd time you press it, the door should begin to move and the car system has been programmed to your operator.
ok, well the first answer is basicly correct, but i had to do somthing different, but i have a Genie.
1. hold down the first button (any of them) and wait for the light under the mirror to flash.
2. hold down the button on the garage remote and the mirror at the same time until the light under the mirror flashes.
3. after this, go up to ur opener and press the “smart”"learn” button.
4. RUN back to the car and hold down the button and the light on the opener should flash quickly. then take ur hand of the button under the mirror. After this, it should work.
