I was going to fly and visit my relatives in N.C. but, a friend of mine gave me this book and it inspired me to save some money and drive. I popped in my favorite CD’s and went on my way. I’m glad I did! It was the best peace and quiet I’ve had in a long time. No one had to deal with the airport craziness by picking me up. I rolled right up to their door in one piece. Other than inspiring me, it gave me the confidence I needed to go at it alone. If anything went wrong with my car, I knew exactly what to do. I ended up having to change my windshield wipers during my journey and by using the books “simple” instructions I did so easily. Can’t wait for my next road trip!

This book is cool. Apart from the obvious it has a lot of tips which could be very useful in camping, hiking, or similar kind of trips. It is more like ‘survival field manual’ in easy to read and follow book. This book does a wonderful job of explaining how small ideas/things/tips can be so useful. It is very hard to find books which are laid out this easy to read and comprehend these days. Once you start you gotta finish it. Also it has a truly inspiring nature and a distinct flavor; which many books lack. I will read other books by this author.
