    I give credit when credit’s due, and Toyota’s are good quality cars, however, I just can’t see my self purchasing one. I was considering a 4Runner, but now, with this whole excelerator issue, I don’t feel comfortable in one…

    Safest Cars to Drive for 2010

    The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), has unveiled its 2010 list of the safest vehicles on the road. The list included 19 cars and eight SUVs. Volkswagen, Ford, and Subaru were the manufacturers with the most vehicles on the list.
    Domestic automaker Ford and its Volvo division took the lead with six awards.

    In an interesting twist for 2010, the biggest automaker in the world, Toyota, did not receive a single safety award.

    Orange County Sues Toyota For Acceleration Flaws (by The Associated Press)

    The Orange County, Calif., district attorney has filed a lawsuit against Toyota Motor Corp., accusing the automaker of knowingly selling hundreds of thousands of vehicles with acceleration defects.

    District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said at a news conference Friday that his office has the right to bring consumer protective action on behalf of Orange County residents.
